Berghotel Hexentanzplatz in Thale

Despite a timely booking, despite a phone call to ensure that the booking is still valid, which was confirmed with yes, we received a rejection after arrival. Since we come from Berlin, we were aware of the risk. Hence the phone call. Of course, nobody knew anything about it. Attempts to justify and assign blame to us showed how honest you are. With financial appeasement one tried to calm the guilty conscience. The icing on the cake was the mention of "cancellation fees". Lunch was very good. We will get back to you for a reservation in due course and hope that we will still be welcomed.

The rooms have modern furnishings and everything is spotless, the food is very good, the staff are very friendly and courteous. I can only recommend it

We went to the Witches Dance Square yesterday and thought we'd go out to eat, but unfortunately we were more than disappointed for the price, chicken tk, the vegetables tk or can, sauce hollondaise ready, the fries tk goods and canned mushrooms and then for this plate To ask about 20 euros is just incredibly embarrassing, the taste was unfortunately nothing ... I am disappointed to have thrown so much money for such a meal! However, the service was very nice and well now you also know why it was done so quickly, everything was ready .. So I don't recommend it, for the price I would definitely have got fresh food elsewhere

Except for the view, it's not special here. Average food and Hasseröder's beer ... I don't need to say anything more. What is missing in the food itself is done even more by the prices: heavily salted! 0.5 liters of beer for € 5.20. Are you crazy?

We have already been to the Berghotel Hexentanzplatz three times. The first time about 15 years ago. The last time about 8 years ago and now again in September 2020. We are always fascinated by the beautiful location of the hotel. It has a breathtaking view over the Bodetal and over the valley. In the evening, when the last day guests have left the Hexentanzplatz and the peace returns, you can enjoy everything even more. The hotel has not lost its old-world charm. The rooms have been renovated and modernly furnished. Many rooms have a great view of the Bodetal. Time has stood still in the restaurant and it exudes its wonderful charm. From the restaurant you also have a fantastic view of the Bodetal. The food 🌯 is good and the service is very friendly and helpful. We liked the breakfast very much, just like on our last visits, it is varied and there is something for every taste. We enjoy our stay for two more days and let ourselves be pampered here, our senses dangle and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in the hotel 🛌 and the breathtaking view from our room over the Bodetal. We have not regretted being here a third time and can really recommend it ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

We were here today and are disappointed with the lunch. For one thing, the tables are not inviting - no napkins, tablecloths or flowers, no salt and pepper shaker. The prices for the food are high, then you actually expect at least quality. Garnished it looked ok at first, the taste is reminiscent of a fast food bar. Soljanka was watery. Generally speaking, all of our selected dishes lacked the seasoning. Sometimes the food was not really warm. In short, for almost 80 euros, you expect decent and quality Eat. The price includes 2x Fanta and 1 cyclist Menu little choice of food and completely overpriced. I can't say much about the staff, our waitress was not very motivated and communicative. You had the feeling that she was happy when it was over.

The food in the restaurant is acceptable but far too overpriced. The service was unfriendly and objected to the fact that dogs were allowed to drink at the table (from their own container + water, mind you). The view was nice.

We found a place on the terrace and the friendly service was quite accommodating. We liked the food and drinks and you could feel that you were in a restaurant. This can cost something, we'd love to come back.

We were only here to eat. I have to say that with prices around 20 € per dish, I expect a different quality of food. Lots of ready meals, croquettes, mushrooms and vegetables, all from the freezer. I am really disappointed. I will not come back.

Very nicely located. Great view, clean rooms, breakfast plentiful and good, cakes good at coffee time. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend lunch or dinner in the restaurant, the quality and price are absolutely incompatible. Canteen food at overpriced prices.

Food was very good, but the salt shaker and napkin were missing.

Obviously there was no need to serve guests on the terrace, we sat for 15 minutes and the waitress elegantly ignored us several times. The neighboring tables were served very well. So unfortunately I can not give a rating my tip a bit below a grilled sausage.

The hotel is not recommended! The bathroom in the old-fashioned hotel room is heated with a small electric heater ... The only good thing is the really beautiful view. The dining room is getting old. Dinner was ok, but breakfast was one of the worst I've ever had. There was a mini selection, ready-made small yogurts, sticky rolls and sausage from the pack ...

An extremely professional and very warm service. The somewhat higher price level is justified by the very good quality of the dishes. Not to forget the view of the Brocken. The landlord is landlord with body and soul!

Food very expensive for the quality. You can save yourself. Steak did not arrive medium as ordered the second time.

The Berghotel is the (!) Restaurant on the Hexentanzplatz. Many are probably a little slain by the prices on the menu (14 euros and more is payed for a main course). But you should not forget that you are in lofty heights ... and pay the view right away. There are plenty of seats outside and inside, clean toilets and a delicious menu. The portions were generous and delicious. :) After a short hike, you can eat here very well and let your gaze wander over Thale.

The enchanted hotel with magical views right on the Hexentanzplatz! During my visit, I had a very neat and clean room, a good and plentiful breakfast buffet, a delicious a la carte dinner and a consistently friendly and courteous hotel team. Very friendly service and delicious, freshly prepared food. Unfortunately too few staff, therefore longer waiting times. Toilets older. Soups for € 4.90 per about 150 ml I found a bit overpriced.

[Restaurant review only] Great view! If you want to know any good thing about here, please ask someone else. Food quality were below expectation, floor staff seems not communicating each other, rather too expensive in price compare with the quality.
